National Exhibition Of Exotic Birds With International Participation
8. 10. - 10. 10. In pavilions A and E in the Flora Olomouc exhibition grounds
This exhibition is organized by Central Expert Committee of Exotic Bird Keepers of the Czech Union of Animal Keepers Prague together with the basic organisation no. 4 of the Czech Union of Animal Keepers Olomouc between 5. - 10. 10. 1999 in pavilions A and E of Flora Olomouc exhibition grounds. This exhibition is open to public from 8.-10.10.1999. Exota Olomouc is an exhibition with more than a 20 year tradition and in its measures it is the biggest exhibition in countries of former Eastern block and central part of Europe. In 1980 the 28th World Championship of Birds was held in the exhibition grounds. In this exhibition several thousands of birds - both judged and non-judged - were exhibited. In this exhibition you can see small exotic birds, pigeons, pheasants, exotic water birds and parrots of different sizes and colours. During the last exhibition which was held in 1997, more than 10 000 spectators visited who were very satisfied. The exhibition is accompanied by several activities - eg. competition of primary schools pupils in bird pictures painting, the competition of speaking parrots, lectures on bird-keeping by the most noted specialists etc. In this exhibition you can also buy equipment for bird keeping, fodder and many other things which are connected with our animal keeping specialization.

You can register 3 pieces of individual birds in every exhibition class, the pairs and collections of birds are without limit. You can exhibit birds which were born between 1996-1999. The non-judged birds can be exhibited without limit. The birds up to the size of rosella will be placed in assessment cages, the others in aviaries. The birds for the exhibition will be admitted on 6.10.1999 from 8.00 to 20.00 o'clock in pavilion A. The exhibitor is obliged to show the veterinary receipt from his place of residence or region. This veterinary receipt cannot be more than 3 days old. The exhibitor must also show the receipt that he paid for the cage and catalogue which he is obliged to take. The price of the catalogue is 40,- Czech Crowns (Kc,-)
The cage fee is 30,- Kc for one piece of both judged and non-judged birds. When exhibiting 20 - 29 birds the cage fee is 500,-Kc, when 30 - 39 birds it is 660,-Kc, 40 - 49 birds 800,-Kc and when more than 50 birds it is 1000,-Kc. When exhibiting more than 100 birds the exhibition committee will pay for half of the travel expenses after mutual agreement. You can write for application forms to this address: CSCH, Maskova 3, 182 53 Praha 8 - Kobylisy. The application forms will be also published in specialized magazines. The organizer will not confirm the application forms individually. Only in a case when the birds are not admitted will the committee inform the owner in a letter.
The deadline for application forms is 5.9.1999. Any application forms after that date will be automatically excluded from consideration. The exhibitor who wishes to sell the birds must write this in the application form and state the price as well. These birds will be sold during the exhibition and the money will be given to the owner on 10.10.1999 at 14,00 o'clock. The exhibitor will submit 5% of the price to the organizer. Handling the birds during the exhibition is prohibited!
A standard fodder will be ensured by the organizer for the exhibited birds during the whole exhibition, concerning special birds the committee will agree upon the fodder with the owner. The veterinary care will be ensured by the organizer during the whole exhibition. In a case of death of a bird, it will be refunded by the organizer according to the standard prices of its species after the veterinary search.
The bird judging will be done on 7.10.1999 from 8,00 o'clock by the Committee of Judges delegated by our specialization. The awards will be given out on 10.10.1999 at 9,00 o'clock at the secretariat of the exhibition committee.
