MEETINGS OF THE C.O.M. BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND O.M.J. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE HELD ON THE 2RD, 3TH AND 4TH OF SEPTEMBER 2005 AT ZUTPHEN (NETHERLANDS)

    Friday, September 2rd, 2005, from 18.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs, the members of the C.O.M.-B.D., O.M.J.-E.C. and C.O.M.P.E./C.R.O., together with the Dutch organisers of the “2006 World Show”, visited the exhibition hall, the hotels, etc.

    Saturday, September 3th, 2005, General President Kees Maandag opened the second meeting at 09.00 hrs.
    Mr. C.G. Maandag welcomed all those present, especially the Dutch friends as organisers of the “2006 World Championship” in Zutphen. He thanked them for the work already accomplished for the anticipated success of this World Show.
    The main goal of the first part of the meeting was to clarify and agree numerous details to meet the organisation’s liabilities, namely the requirements of the official “Specifications” (rules of procedure) and the addenda or modifications to be introduced.
    In the present “The C.O.M. News”, the dates of the “2006 World Show – Zutphen” are scheduled in accordance with the Organising Committee
    .

    ATTENTION

    All registration forms must be collected centrally and mailed all together by each national C.O.M. or equivalent entity (foreign countries). Individually submitted registration forms will not be accepted.
    These must be completed in capital letters or preferably typewritten.
    The breeder(s) official number(s) (“stam”) must be provided on the registration forms
    .


    - Special attention by exhibitors and national secretaries is requested to the above requirement, keeping in mind that failure to provide the breeder’s official national numbers will lead to the disqualification of the respective award-winning birds, which is always very regrettable.



    The registration forms (formulaire C.O.M.) must be sent by registered mail or through express courier service to the following address:

    The registration forms must be in possession of the above Organising Committee before 15th December 2005. The organisers require that this date be rigorously adhered to, in order to allow for all for all the data to be input into the computer programme. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to the member-countries involved.

    The payment of the registration fee is due by the same above date. All costs must be borne by the requesting country.

    Detailed special instructions (Veterinary certificate, CITES certificate, Customs clearance, Veterinary control, etc.) will be attached to the registration forms to be sent to the member-countries, in 5 different languages (French, English, Spanish, German and Italian), around 1st October 2005.

    You are reminded that registration fees are due for ALL inscribed birds at the World Championship, whether they are PRESENT OR NOT.

    All birds from a same country must arrive together for caging. They must to be caged only by the official escorts (conveyors) for each country. These will be also responsible for with the collection of the birds at the end of the show.

    - Price of the general catalogue, obligatory for exhibitors :       € 12,00

    The judges must be present at the O.M.J. Congress to be held on Friday 20th January 2006 at 18.00 hrs. During this meeting, the different judging teams will be established and some instructions will be given as regards the judging. The venue for the O.M.J. Congress will be advised in the letter of invitation to be sent to the judges by the O.M.J. Secretary.
    To avoid problems with reimbursement of travelling costs, judges have to STRICTLY comply with the instructions given in said letter of invitation.

  • At the request of O.M.J., the Organising Committee will assign qualified personnel (O.M.J. judges and/or national judges) to render help and assistance to the Supervisory Committee, especially to check the bird rings.

    The C.O.M. General President, Mr. C.G. Maandag, closed this second meeting at 11.30 hrs.


    - Saturday, 3rd September 2005, the third meeting (C.O.M.-B.D. members and C.O.M.P.E./C.R.O. responsible) started at 15.00 hrs and ended at 17.00 hrs.

    • Consideration of the activities in 2005 and goals for 2006

    • Financial situation January/July 2005

    • Analysis of the 53rd World Show in Bad Salzuflen (Germany)

    • Elections and re-elections to the C.O.M. Board of Directors

    • Consideration of administrative proposals received from member-countries and presentation of C.O.M.-B.D. proposals

    • Report “World Championship-S.H. – Cuba”

    • Candidatures to the “2010 World Show”

    • Progress report on the preparation of the various O.M.J. “Standards” manuals, in different languages

    • New relations with non affiliated countries

    • Reports from the C.O.M.-B.D. directors who are responsible for the different member countries, and from the C.O.M.P.E./C.R.O. member in charge

    • Development and updating of the C.O.M. web site

    • Various: information on correspondence received, as well as C.O.M./O.M.J. statutes and regulations (candidatures to C.O.M.-B.D. and/or O.M.J.-E.C., O.M.J. judges) and the constitutions of the COM-Bulgaria and COM-Hungary.



    - Saturday, 3rd September 2005, the final meeting (C.O.M.-B.D. and O.M.J.-E.C. members and C.O.M.P.E./C.R.O. responsible) started at 17.15 hrs and ended at 18.15 hrs.

    • Candidatures for organising the “2010 World Championships”

    • Consideration of O.M.J. administrative and technical proposals

    • Board of officiating and reserve O.M.J. judges for the “2006 World Show” (see Appendix No. 5)

    • Supervisors to the C.O.M. International Shows

    • Examinations for new O.M.J. judges and nomination of supervisors

    • O.M.J. “Standards” manuals

    • Compilation of O.M.J. official documentation in different languages

    • Summary of C.O.M.-B.D. and O.M.J.-E.C. meetings

    • Ratification of O.M.J. decisions (i.e.: “disqualifications”)

    • Other issues.
